GPSR Responsible Person — duty, role and solution

A Responsible Person under GPSR is an EU-established person whose contact appears on the product and who is reachable for safety and evidence duties. For non-EU goods it is effectively a precondition to sell in the EU.

When it is mandatory

When no manufacturer or importer with an EU seat covers the role — typical for direct imports by marketplace sellers. Without a Responsible Person on file, Amazon deactivates affected offers.

Options

The details must be real and reachable. The Responsible Person does not replace the product-specific evidence (standards, DoC, technical documentation).

Greenlist shows you the relevant test paths, the open evidence gaps and the questions for your supplier — per SKU, before the PO. Greenlist drafts the document-solvable evidence (declaration of conformity, RoHS DoC, listing block) and tells you where accredited lab testing is required.
